I have noticed some wear spots on several tops including on my own 92 turbo. My tan top is about two years old now replaced by Saab before I purchased it from them. I raise the top part way to just before the window drops then I manually push the window down and straighten out the headliner and outer corners. I think its the friction from having to push the window down that causes the wear spots because thats where the two surfaces make contact. Also, just before the top is done I try to tuck the excess down under the back headrests. I've noticed a dinginess on the back of the headrests from the headliner rubbing.
Now as for the boot covers, how could you NOT put those covers on when they just bring out the best in style and design of one of the best looking convertibles on the road by far. The covers highlight the elegant leather interior and give a smooth line for the eye to follow. Let the world have their ugly Chrysler Lebaron's with their boxy backseat. Let them have their Sebring's that don't have any style or perfomance cues and UGLY front seats, and they can have their dime-a-dozen Mustang convertibles whose numbers seem to be as common as all those boy-racer Hondas.Ditto for the Sebring. I say set it off!! You're already set apart by the marque what does the extra minute cost? Go for yours!
