Sounds like a tie rod end to me. While you are checking that out, I would also check the ball joints as they may also be contributing. If they all check out good, then it is just probably an alignment problem. I am betting on the tie rod end. I just did tie rods and ball joints on my '92 (90kmi) so you might be due.
