Check out spg9.com & go through their list of mods.
APC upgrade, RRFPR, injectors, air ducts, K&N, better turbo, better head, as well as a few other things can be done.
About 100K miles ago, I had my 87 SPG on a dyno & 181 BHP & 201 ft lb torque at the wheels is what the dyno stated. That 220+ HP if you consider a 20% loss in HP due to drivetrain. Anyways, the only mods I had was APC upgrade as well as a K&N filtercharger :o) At that time I didn't know what I was doing (not that I know now :o) but it was definantly running lean & doing the mods properly will definantly bring new life into the motor.
acceleration time? It's kind of hard to say butI would guess around 6 seconds to 60 & mid 14's in the 1/4 mi is where my car was at it's best. It's hard to say because using 1st gear in these trannies @ wot will kill the thing.
