Some of the best advise I received was on a newsletter generated by French's Foreign Car Service out of Irving TX. On each shift make a slight pause(barely perceptable)in the neutral position while moving the stick. This allows the synchronizers to come up to equal speeds (the clash you were talking about). Also the reverse gear has no synchronizer so you need to touch another gear prior to shifting into reverse. As with any turbo I always warm up the prescribed 45-60 seconds in neutral with clutch out, this moves the primary chain&gears to lubricate everything before you drive off.I really don't think the shift points matter to much except I would rev just a little more in 1st when it is very cold.Incidently I live in central CA. so very cold here is 25*F. My 900t has been in the -25*F on occasion with very little 1-2 clash.I believe the redline MTL is the key. Good Luck!
