Will try different words: I'm not in any position to question a saab technician (I'm not a mechanic of any sort), but the claim just doesn't ring true to me based on memory and lay experience. Sorry if it sounded like I was personally criticizing you - wasn't intended. I doubt any of the dissenters meant to insult you.

That the std spoiler may be of little use for down-pressure, I don't know but can fathom it. That it affects rain/snow accumulation, I'm doubting, because I've witnessed no difference. Why would I notice/be so certain? Because it's annoying how the huge r. window collects snow/rain at a stoplight in a heartbeat, and so I appreciate how keeping the car moving prevents this. Have noticed no difference between my spoiler'ed and non-spoiler'ed 900S's. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ;o)
