Any of you folks also run a european classic car?

I have a couple of 60's cars and a '30's chugabug. A couple of years back we took our 63 Volvo Amazon Estate coast to coast across Scandanavia. What a hoot, it's total purchase price and preparation for the jaunt was under £1000. That's a cheap holiday. Our only problem was a set of worn out dynamo brushes which I managed to replace in an Oslo campsite! Could you imagine trying to fit an alternator on a 900 there?
Our other car is a '62 short wheelbase Land Rover with a retro fitted 3.3 litre Perkins diesel engine from a Fergusson tractor. Rugged or what!
