I've considered that myself, as well. Eventually, I figured that it would take an extraordinary amount of work to retrofit that type of thing onto a c900.
First, there would have to be a way to illuminate only the speedo. (or is it the tach and the speedo?) The lighting for a c900 instrument cluster consists of two bulbs. More would have to be added and focused on specific areas.
Then comes the matter of lighting any gauges which indicate an "out-of-tolerance" condition: low fuel, high engine temp, overboost perhaps?
When I got this far in my thinking, I decided that I'd let someone else with more motivation tackle the project. There are too many other things which need my attention at this point. Care to try your skill at reverse engineering?
