My 87 SPG has been sitting in my garage for ooooo 3 months now. Due to a screwed up head gasket job by a local shop, I go through a few qts of oil a week. Add to that, the fact that my tires are slicks & it's winter time!
So I drive a minivan, eeeeeeeekkkk!!!! It's been a very long few months :o)
I am suppose to go work on the 88 SPG tomorrow night. We will be installing x-drilled rotors & koni adjustables. Later in the week, intrax springs, SAS rear air bag, 4 wheel alignment as well as the fittment of the 18's will be done :o) (finger are still crossed, no rubbing :o)
I am hopefully going to hear from john@saabsavior soon so he can put the aero seats in it as well as putting the airflow kit, 9K IC, 9K alternator & a set of rust free doors :o)
Then I will just be waiting on the motor :o)
The guy that hit me did pay for the damage but it totaled the car. I got $3600 from them & got to keep the car. That money has been blown on the new motor (part of it) as well as the monaco seats. Due to the severity of the body damage as well as the rust, it's just to expensive to get it back to 100%, so it will be a bad weather car/work/mountainbiking car. I will put the 88's motor in it :o)
O yea, since the hood is fine on the 87, it will be swapped as well as the grill to the 88 :o)
