If you do that, you have almost no way to pull heat from the engine.
I had (key word, had) an '86 Buick Skylark that someone had the idea
of bypassing the heater core. Needless to say, the car overheated and
I turned on the heat and nada!! One new head and new heater core later,
I got it running. Get a new heater core!!!
