Some manufacturers do make 50 or 55 series 195's but sometimes the price goes waay up. I had 195-50-15's on my old VW :o)
Anyways, when I switched to 16's (205-50-16) I was surprised that the car rode as smooth as it did. It was pretty difficult to tell the difference ride wise but the car felt better in turns :o)
If it was me with 15's, I would just get a 195-60. Going with a lower profile 195 can & probably would make the car look funky because the overall diameter of the rim would be to small. Kind of like when people get 205-60's, to me it looks like a monster truck/SUV tire & NOT something that should be on a car :o)
If you want low profile tires, I would start saving for rims & call the wrecking yards to see if they happen to get a set of 9000 16 inch rims in. There are also some descent looking aftermarket rims which can be had for $100 ish per rim, but they do add unsprung weight :o(
