If you want a performance tire, don't get the P6000 or AVS DB thingy. The AVD DB is a all season tire. My brother has a set (AVS S4 I think) & well, they suck. Weak sidewalls, poor road adhesion but they are a "high performance" all season tire, yuk :o)
I presently have the Pirelli P6000's on my 87 SPG (195-60's is all I use) & if road adhesion is what you want, I would get the AVS intermediates ($70), Bridgestone RE-71's, Yokohama A520's, Toyo Proxes T1s & there are a few others I can't remember.
My P6000's screach in turns much quicker then the intermediates did but they are much quiter & last probably 7K miles longer the the AVS int's
