...i'm still going thru & sorting out all the bugs on the 88 spg i got last week-i noticed the throttle cable was slightly stretched & giving an unwanted delay on the pedal...i just "shimmed" it were it comes thru firewall & its ok...i was curious if anybody else has experienced cable stretch?...also,on the subject of 1988,i've heard people talk of the "curse of 88",indeed my sister has an 88 900s which refused to start after a grocery run,she called me & i decided it was a faulty ecu after checking everything else,then i was backing out of the parking space in my 86 900t & wham! CLUNK!-"curse of the lower control arm"!...its kinda funny in retrospect,both our saabs being towed home after she called me to the rescue,an ecu & l a-arm from the boneyard & we were saabin' again---one more question...anybody detected any quality differences in the cars made at the Arlov plant as compared to the Trollhatten produced cars?...just curious..thanx
