Well, today during my lunch break i was going to quickly change my valve cover gasket. The last one is only a few weeks old but those idiots at the dealer i went to gave me the fat one for 87+. I have an 86 SPG and the gasket didnt fit but i didnt know it wasnt supposed to...it was leaking. Anyway, my girlfriend's father got me another gasket from the parts warehouse(he's in the parts business) and i figured, well this should be a piece of cake.
Well, this one didnt want to stay seated but it seemed like the right gasket this time. To make a long story short, apparently it wasnt seated right and when i tightened one bolt, the damn cover cracked! ARGH. I have no luck and its not like I am an idiot. So now, where can i get a valve cover used at a good price for my 86 SPG like overnight or 2nd day? The east coast would be great to keep shipping down. how much does a used one go for these days? I hate this, nothing ever goes right. The thing is leaking everywhere.
