This is to Kevin K, Chris J, and everone else that has given me info about my oil change in the tranny.
Here's my problem.
1985 900 S W/150K miles.
I just bought the car want to start a routine maint on it. I want to do the right thing for the tranny. Is putting "compressor oil" between the old oil and the new synth the right thing to do. I made the mistake of asking an employee at a local auto parts store for compressor oil, for my tranny......(i know, i know). I am new to the Saab world and want to keep this car running for as long as posible. I also put 50+ miles a day on this car. So driving it with compressor oil "lightly" mean that I cannot drive it on the highway or what. I am sorry for seeming ignorant, but I want to "clean up" this car and not kill it. I am an engineer (Network) I like to get my facts straight before doing something...even if I am redundant in my questioning.
Thank you again.
Terry.
