API SA compressor oil is similar to strait weight eng oil with no detergent. It is an inexpensive purge for transaxle, which I think is a good idea if going from synth (or unknown) to another synthetic. 20W is fine for most cases ... if very hot, could use 30W.
#1 rule ..... if you have 150+K on a box that shifts great with no leaks, don't do anything different than before regarding trans oil.
For non-turbo, non-agression, unknown history, I'd purge and put Honda trans oil (MTF) in. It is a new product designed by Honda to improve shifting, vs the old 10W30 spec trans oil. $4.40 per qt at dealer. AFAIK, it is about a 75-85 GL4 semi-synth gear oil, similar to MTL, but better shifting, according to NSX owners.
For high hp, hard drivers, I suggest NEO 75-90HD GL5 gear oil. I use it.
