Hi Guys,

I am a first time owner, was recommended SAABs by a friend of mine, and, I have always liked the shape of them, I was hooked.

Now,about 6 months down the line, I am a happy owner of a 900T 16s.
Though, the journey so far has not been an easy one.. I've had my fair share of problems, but I'm slowly working through them.

My SAAB has the bodykit around the bottom, which is Charcoal grey (almost Black) I was thinking of changing it to the same colour as the rest of the car (cyrus white) do you need any specific paint type ? what is the best way to achieve this ??

what is the most common fault with the cruise control ? as at the moment I cannot get mine to engage at all.

The existing brake pad on the left got worn away to the metal
I think one of the rear brake callipers is jamming. . and replaced both disks and pads on the back. In the process had a right game getting the calliper to retract into the housing, after much persuasion managed to retract the calliper piston, but now the new brakes are on and occasionally when my foot is off the brake I can still hear it in contact with the disk if I crawl forwards slowly.

Turbo makes a whistling noise (is that good ?)

These are all things I am intending to get sorted soon. (each month a little more! )

can anyone in the UK recommend a decent Mechanic / Garage in the West Midlands (Birmingham)?

I recently had a Merc run into the back of me, no visible damage to the back of my 900, shame about the front of his merc ! though the exhaust had to be replaced, and whilst being done I was lent a hire car (Brand New Vauxhaul Vectra SRI 2l) I hated that car, it had some speed behind it but just lacked the quality of my SAAB. just goes to show quality is timeless !

Thanks for taking the time to read this marathon of questions, any advice that can be given, gratefully received.

Regards,

Andy.
