If the frame doesn't bolt right into the floor of your car, you still have at least two options. Either modify the seat frame and/or the mounting points on the floor, or swap the leather seat covers onto your existing seat frames.
I've got the leather and padding from two 9000 front seats on the stock 900 seat frames in my '86 SPG. They fit well, but not perfectly. A close scrutiny will reveal that the leather is cut a little differently near the seat hinges, but they look WAY better than the old decrepit leather that came with the car. And yes, the covers can be swapped from passenger to driver side and vice-versa. Passenger seats tend to be in much better condition.
With no experience whatsoever, the first seat took me 3 hours and the second one took 2. This includes removing and replacing the seats from the car. I needed a ratchet with a hex bit (an allen key will work) and a wrench to remove/reinstall the seats, and found that bent-nose needlenose pliers are quite helpful with the upholstery hooks.
I have no idea how much time and effort would be required to modify the seat frame mounting points if you choose to persue that option.
Good luck, and don't be afraid to talk the price down a little.
