okay, i just bought my third saab. i've had it for two days, it's a '93 900 and i freakin' love it, (my first manual transmission saab and boy is it better than the auto) except tonight when i was getting out, the door handle (inside) said "chunk" and stopped doing anything except flexing in place. i read a bunch of stuff here about how to get at the "meat" of the door, taking out torx screws and removing fabric panels and all, and found the metal bar that had apparently detached from the lock mechanism. has anyone else monkeyed around with this before? the bar is somewhere between 8-11 inches long, starts at the door handle, and ends somewhere else (there's a hole that seems like a perfect candidate, but then the bar sticks out too far to the right to reattach the handle mechanism). i can't get the bar to do what i think it should and i really don't want to make this worse. any suggestions here?
