Or, as they say in the old country, "gee, this is an old country." (Many thanks to George Gobel for that one)
Turbo bypass valve may have a hole in the diaphragm. When you close the throttle after being on boost, if there's no way of relieving the boost from the turbo, the backpressure tends to stall the turbo. Then it stalls the car.
To test the TBV (or "hooter valve" as Saabers affectionately call it), pull the vacuum line that goes to the valve off of the vacuum nipple on the intake manifold (it's the one of two vacuum lines on the front vacuum nipple on the top of the manifold that doesn't go to the distributor) and suck on it to see if it holds vacuum. If it doesn't, the TBV is probably shot. You'll need to replace it.
That's the easy problem to spot. Another could be old, brittle, shrunken, cracked vacuum lines or a hairline crack in one of the turbo connectors. After 12 years, the underhood temps in a 900T make them brittle and they cause all sorts of drivability problems.
Check the easy things first.
