did you change the oil?I like valvoline 20/50 unless in a cold climate than a thiner oil should be used they will take a long time to pump up but 100 miles sounds like too long I wonder what your oil presure is?
there may be varnish(ocurs from oil sitting) which is keeping them from pumping up, which would be solved by putting an aditive designed to break down varnish in the oil trans fluid is good for this 1 qt aded to the oil & driven 100-200 miles than change the oil may help
you are having trouble getting the lifters to pump up, not bleed down they are bled down & not taking up the lash between the valv stems & the cams thus the noise, exess lash.
