The problem is that here in New Orleans it is ocassionaly 85 degrees in February, and very humid. As I drive in City trafic she heats up very quickly on these hot days. Between May and early October the mercury does not often go below 90 degrees, and is most likely to be in the 95 - 100 degree range. City driving in these conditions produces some serious heat.
My goal is to preserve my head gasket for as long as possable, since extreme variations in heat contribute to head gasket failure. I want an even temp range and faster cool downs.
The townsend site has an excellent service anouncement from Saab illustrating how to wire both fans to come on in the 2.1 models. Thanks to Keith G for the info!
