Great question.
My braking is also less than desired.
I have an 83-900T and I've noticed via the dwell meter in my passenger seat that my pulse ratio increases from the mid 40's to around 50 whenever I apply the brakes at a stop light. The pulse ratio is a measure of the air/fuel ratio. I'm stumped on this one, maybe a vacuum leak or should this happen? Anyone else who has an air/fuel guage observe this?
To answer your question I tested the checkvalve by connecting a pressure reservoir at 10PSI to the checkvalve. I then monitored the pressure gauge for any change in pressure. It should remain constant. You should also connect a vacuum pump to the check valve and see if the applied vacuum remain constant.
