They have what looks like regular yellowish colored grease down the entire inside length. When you press them on the fender the grease covers the metal lip of wheelwell. Since it's grease and will never dry, I assume they put it in there for rust prevention. I thought about heating them up first but figured the grease might be a problem. I removed the old ones when I had the hood re-painted so he wouldn't have to tape off when blending in. I bought 4 but haven't changed the rears out yet.
