I use a small pry bar to get it out enough to slap a channellock or vice grip on it. Then I take a 2lb sledge and hit the pliers in the direction the clip goes. Come right out.

Wait until you try to extract the brake pads over the rotor rim that appears when the rotor is worn! Saab makes a special tool for extracting brake pads that @#$E%-sure pulls them, but I usually just wedge the caliper open enought to pull the outer pad (sometimes use the above pull method, but worst case I've always been able to drive the pad out with a drift punch appied from the bottom). Then just move the yoke back and the inner pad comes out.

I'll assume you know how to back out the indirect piston and clean the e-brake actuator rod/check for ebrake lever operation. Gunk builds up between the lever and the caliper cylinder and fouls the O-ring and hangs up the ebrake. Then you have to pull the lever/rod and replace the O-ring and it's holding bushing.
