Question about airflow bumpers

I was in the garage tonight tearing down the front end of my 81 turbo, in my intercooling quest, and was wondering what the real differences are between the old lights/grill/bumper setup compared to the new lights/grill/bumper setup. With the old, the bumper mounts with two spots, is it same for the later ones? I know the new lights and bumpers are transferable to an older car, so they must share a platform of some kind.
Anyway, down to the airflow bumper, does it mount the same as the new bumpers or different? Is it possible to fit it to an older car like mine without changing the headlights? Would this look hideous if done? It will hopefully have an SPG kit on it soon, and I thought maybe buying the erebuni front (since it looks practically the same as the airflow bumper) would be a little less costly than trying to get a genuine. Would the mix of an SPG kit and that bumper match? Sorry for so many questions... just need my options sorted out. Thanks!
