Three of the plugs seized, meaning they came out without the threaded cylinder that screws into the block remaining in the block. The part that came out looked like a regular spark plug but with a long ceramic pole that has the firing tip on it. One plug came out clean and I replaced it with a new one
I bought a 14MM/18MM spark plug hole thread chaser and a 5 pc "Fluted" Screw Extractor set (3/8ths, 5/16th, etc today to deal with the problem tonight.
I think the outer threaded sleeve, the part that "screws" the plug into the block were just seized by rust. Don't know what else I could have done-I've taken out many many spark plugs in my day, but never had one "seize" on me.
