If I just run the wire from the distributor to the coil it should work just fine? This line carries the current or signal for the hall sensor right?
I'm currently trying to get an '87 900T running. There is no spark, and the seller said that the thing on top of the coil began to smoke one day. Replaced it with one from an Olds which was about 2 inches longer and that one burned up.
Any idea what could be causing this so? Will it harm the coil or dist. to just connect them?
Thanks...
