How do you determine if the pulley has a problem? Is it simply a matter of grabbing it and trying to rock it on it's rotational axis? If it dosn't rock then it's ok or is there a another way? My harmonic balancer seems to be solid on the crank shaft.
Anyone ever change a late model style ie. 1992 900 16v non turbo cam tensioner? The Bentley manual dosn't really elaborate on how to install other than "presetting" the tensioner. How do determine if the tensioner is just at it's limit or the cam chain is stretched and in need of replacement especially when the cam chain cover isn't removed to get a good look at it? Any tricks on re-installing and releasing the safety pin and insuring that it's properly contacting the chain guide...? Can you tell I havn't tackled this project before thanks John K
