First things first, get Winamp for your computer (http://www.winamp.com/)

As the winamp tutorial mentions, winamp is probably the easiest program to rip MP3s into .wav format.

You first have to change the output format of the MP3. Rather than the output going to your speakers, you will send the output to a .wav file.
You do this by selecting the winamp menu (left click on the upper left icon).

Once the drop down menu appears, select options then preferences (options ---> preferences). Select output from the left hand side of the next menu. Select Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in v1.0 from the right side of the menu. Once that is selected, click on configure to designate a directory where your new .wav files will be stored.

Once that is all configured, you can then go back to the winamp GUI and load up a single MP3, a playlist, or an entire directory. Press play and rather than hearing the music from your speakers, the output will be sent to a .wav file within the directory that you designated.

After you have finished ripping the MP3s into .wav format and would like to hear music again rather than writing to a file, you will need to change the output destination back to the waveout selection. Do this the same way you selected the output to go to the .wav format.

now, go back to where you saved the converted mp3 files. and burn the WAV's!
