do not run it until find out what is wrong. you are not getting oil to lifters. is the oil light off?? i'd pull the oil press sender and crank it over to make sure you are getting oil and at good pressure. ( put finger over hole) is it possible that you did not get the oil pickup tube reset properly in the cover? i think that only applies if whole cover comes off not just oil pump but it can sometimes get dislodged. if you are not getting oil flow then it may be possible that it is not primed. you may be able to pressurize via the dipstick ( block valve cover breather) enough to get oil up and over the hump into the pump. check the press relief valve, you can apply suction there with valve outto bring oil into pump cavity. iff all that is good then you have to pull valve cover and open the #4 intake hollow bolt. crank it until you get oil flow. take your time and do not burn out your starter and pull your plugs to ease cranking.
