Go back to Home Depot and pick up a length of copper wire, the really thick kind they use to ground the electrical system in your house. I brought a micrometer with me set to the thickness I needed to measure the wire while at the store. When I went to pick up my flywheel from the shop that resurfaced it, I had them use their press to install the wire in the pressure plate. I had really bad luck with the sparkplugwire thing. Its too soft and will compress, which makes the job a huge PITA. The copper wire wont' compress.
