Today driving around earlier, my 85T acted fine, no problems. Since i got the car a month and a half ago, there's a little whine in 4th and 5th gears, the pinion bearing
i assume? BUT tonight, while driving home, a problem started.

On acceleration, there is a regular sound that is about as frequent as the sound of cyclenders firing at idle. Fairly quickly. It sounds like something rubbing or grinding.
It started in 4th gear, and very quickly started to appear in all gears. Second gear which popped out for the time i've had the car, now likes to grind as well. The
sound seems to only be there when accelerating, not decelerating or when reving the engine in neutral or with the clutch in.

Also, when starting (slowly) in 1st, there is a fair amount of vibration, as if the clutch is not fully grabbing? In third especially, there was a noticable vibration in the
car.

Last week, i has the car safety inspected. It passed although the inspection didn't include anything on the tranny or clutch (just items like brakes, light function, ball
joints, rotor and pad wear), but the mechanic mentioned that there was some oil leaking. When he showed me, it looked to be coming off the back side of the
engine/tranny.

I have got the car home, and am parking it until i can get this fixed so the problem doesn't get worse.

Is this clutch or transmission related? Or is there something else? Can anyone help guide me to what might be wrong? Have i done permenant damage to the tranny?

All advice welcome. I really need my car to work during exams this month, after that i can pay more attention to the car.

Thanks
