can a more experienced SAAB owner hep me make a decision regarding my 92 900 turbo conv.? I've been watching a small, slow head gasket leak for the last few months (since I bought the can in Feb.) The car is loosing about 1 Liter. per 1000 miles. The problem isn't causing any loss in performance that I can tell (no white smoke, clean oil etc...) The dealer, to his credit, told me not to spend the 1300$ right away-just to keep an eye on it. My question is: Isn't a head gasket leak potentially damaging to the engine? Should I go ahed and spend the money? would a non-SAAB mechanic who's cheeper be less likely to do a good job on a SAAB?
