Let me clear this problem description up a little. When I drive light my gears shift and grab just fine but when I give it a little gas on take off at the beginning of each gear it slips with a vibration and sometimes a sqauling sound but soon catches up and grabs.once it grabs it cruises right along normal. Is there an adjustment I can make to the bands and should I flush the system and change the filter? This is a 83 900S with only 97,000 miles. It doesn't look like the trans. pan has ever been off.The previous owner was putting vavaline type FA fluid in.Any help is greatly appreciated. Joe
