I have the manual for the airflow kit but not the fender flares. According to the instructions a small piece of the original (skinny flare)has to be cut, about 4". This is placed where the insert space is for the wider fender flare. It would be a good idea to buy a sheet of aluminum and rivet it to the inner fender lip then attach the fender flares to the aluminum sheet with rivets rather than using the screws. Remember they look good on the car but crack just as easily.
