So, the actual ground location is on the bottom of the alt near the engine? It is a nut on the casing? OK. This explains why I could not find a broken piece of wire in plain site. Now that o contorted myself and my Coolant reservoir in removing the Voltage regulator, I feel just plain stupid. Perhaps this is why I'm in awe of my Saab? Who knows.
Thanks much for the information. Now the old 88 will ride again.
