Here's the problem. I have an 1986 900 S. I have 231,000 miles... all original. Mint, mint, mint!!! (until now)I was driving home after putting 150 miles on the car when all of a sudden the car started skipping. I first noticed it at 2500 rpm then I pulled over and it did it at every rpm. The throttle was eratic and and when I pushed the pedal, the car would almost jump all over the place. Since then- 2 trips to the Saab dealership, they have diagnosed the car and could not find anything wrong. They said the car was 150% perfect. Yet charged me for 2 hours of Sweet Saab labor. Four miles after leaving it did it again. I first noticed it at 2500rpm and then at every point from there on in. One other thing was that I noticed that once I pulled over to have it towed again...it was hard to start after 10 minutes of cooling down. So back to the great Saab dealer again I was and this time through they checked the fuel pump and the secondary fuel pump. They said the secondary fuel pump was shot and they couldnt find anything else. They told me it was 150%again. Since then I drove 5 miles away from the Saab dealership again and sure enough the car spitts at 2500 rpm at first and then at every rpm from there on in. She acts very jumpy, like she has bad gas almost. But I assured thsi by putting in dry gas and then fual additive and I only fill her up with Mobil 93. So what we're doing this time(3 rd time back) is that we are going to replace the fuel filter and see where that takes us. Does anyone know what this might be??? I am running out of money at the Saab dealership..
