The radiator fan motor has two separate +12VDC power sources which can turn it on....one is from the radiator T-stat switch...the other source is the AC controlled radiator fan relay. My guess is because of an internal electrical short inside the relay (when the AC tells the relay to activate) it then shorts out the radiator fan fuse. When the AC is not used, the radiator fan relay is not activated..the electrical short does not occur..and the fan works fine on the radiator t-stat from the other source...
