Tend to agree that cross-drilled are probably over kill for the street in most cases. The primary advantage of cross drilled over slotted and stock is that cross-drilled rotors dissipate heat more effectively but in a c900 on the street this probably isn't much of a consideration in practice. On the track is of couse another story. May even be worth consideration if the car is driven extremely aggressive in the mountain states.
For most street applications it seems to me that the primary advantage of cross drilled rotors over stock is that they alleviate gassing issues and the impact this has on braking. Of course, slotted rotors will adress this issue too and thus may be a better choice for most street applications especially since they don't have the increased tendency for breakage that cross-drilled rotors do. Not that I would rule cross-drilled simply because of an increased tendency for breakage but I would give it consideration in deciding what you need for your personal situation.
