I know what you mean, and I was in the same position a few years ago. had a 85 900T and was dreaming of an SPG. So I started wondering how much those panels were. Then the wheels, of course. The car had an automatic tranmission, so it had to be converted. A chromed grille and flush headlights would be nice too. How about the turbo boost and watercooled intercooler?

The bottom line is, if you want an SPG, try to get a real one instead of making one. I am not sure about numbers, but it is faster than the 'regular' turbo. If speed matters, try getting a 90 or 91 SPG, the one with higher turbo boost.
