hey everyone, I am in a dire situation...

89 900 turbo, SPG9 APC, RRFPR, Bypass Valve, 24# injectors... everything tuned (meticulously) over the past couple weeks, car was running strong and fine under this setup until:

drove up to VT yesterday from NY, car was running beautifully except a vacuum line popped half way up (car would drop idle and die)... so I tie wrapped that line back on... and car was the best its ever been... boosting strong about 15 psi, oil and temp. all VERY normal...

Hit some really nasty weather, tons of rain, the saab handled like a champ... I tried starting the car today, and it sputtered a little, check engine light came on, but it ran about a mile to the general store.

I tried to start the car leaving the store and it started, started to move, then would sputter and die under any sort of gas.. almost like the throttle was not responding at all

I popped the hood and... found a vacuum line connector to the canister cyclinder right under the APC was completely cracked... all other vacuum lines seemed in place and fine (esp. the one that popped the day before)... I fixed that line and connector, and started the car... no difference, still, starts to idle, then dies...

it turns over, seems to idle fine for about a couple seconds, then dies completely, can't maintain any RPM's wiht pedal or directly with throttle.

A couple guys stopped by and were convinced it was the fuel pump, or a blockage... I still think a vacuum line might've snapped and that killing it... either way, I'm in the middle of nowhere, near the bridge from NY, no saab guys around, or mechanics, and to tow it back to where I live would be astronomical...

I thought maybe the distrib cap got wet in the storm, but I didn't see any cracks when i took it off...

any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated (or mechs or tow trucks in the VT/NY border area)

thanks a lot,

martin
