Clock and odometer failure are probably not related. The clock is electric, the odometer mechanical.
The odometer failure is probably a cracked gear in the mechanism. It's pretty common. The fix is a replacement odometer from the junkyard or a fix from an speedometer shop (speedometer.com?). After you fix it, consider undoing the short section of speedo cable that runs to the oxygen sensor (EXH) counter box. Driving the extra mechanism for the oxygen sensor mileage counter puts extra stress on the odometer mechanism and can lead to failure.
The clock could be a bad connection or that the clock has just worn out. The fix is to clean the connections after removing the instrument cluster. If that doesn't work, a replacement clock from the junkyard is a good bet.
