Dick, I have heard conflicting advice on synth ATF. I have heard that the synth ATF CAN be too slippery with adverse effects on the clutches. I know it has to be better on the gears, but the clutches worry me. I always suggets to friends to keep with high quality, big company fluid (non synth) because of this unknown. Is there documentation anywhere which could educate me? I have seen this with synchro performance in manuals. Diferent synchro types seem to work differently with different fluids. My dad has a couple of 9k autos and a good friend has another 9k auto. SHouldn't all the old fluid be pumped out before a change? It seems easier than a 3 qt change every week for a month...
