1989 900 Turbo automatic, lacks power during take off from light, apc and other valves have been checked and replaced, turbo is fine, yet I still have problems in accelerating from a dead stop. When I am taking off from a light it just drags until it begins to pick up speed then it levels off, but it definately lacks take off, even if I drop it down in first gear. I have drove other automatic's and have not found this to be consistant. One of my thoughts is the fuel injectors might have restrictions. I also think part of it might have to do with vacuum hoses around the apc because when I do speed up the fan on the a/c blower kicks off until I reach a cruising speed the it comes back on blowing cold air. The hoses appear fine but I have read on line about replacing the hoses with an upgraded hose that is not likely to collapse after aging.
When acclerating the A/C will go off until an operating speed is defined, then the blower starts working properly, when I speed up it will go off then settle down as things smooth out.
Whats going on here?
