or manually return the turn signal lever to its centered position.
Replacing the lever is pretty easy just as long as you replace the wiring one wire at a time... ie- don't unplug everything and then try to remember which wire went where. Get both the old and new levers right next to each other. Unplug one wire, plug it into the new lever. repeat.
To remove the lever, remove the lower steering column trim by unscrewing the screws on either side of the column, and removing the upholstery clip on the bottom. This will expose a metal "frame" to which both the turn-signal lever and the windshield-wiper lever are bolted. When you get this far, you'll be able to figure out the rest. (I forget where and how many screws are left- there aren't many and they're easy to find)
