When you replace the main seal, you should probably replace the harmonic balancer pulley as Chip suggested. Your memory is correct on oil pump seals as well. Also, you should replace the alternator bushings now if you have any alternator vibration and consider a water pump if the original is still in.
This whole project can be done in a day by the diy mechanic, and you will be very satisfied with your accomplishment. The time consuming part is getting all the stuff out of the way. Belts, unbolt A/C and move aside(with hoses intact), remove alternator if you're doing bushings, unbolt A/C pulley from harmonic balancer (by feel up against fire wall). Then you unbolt harmonic balancer and it helps to have a 30mm? socket that has been ground down about 1/2 inch to fit between firewall and pulley. A breaker bar for the socket is a must. This bolt is on tight and you must also lock the engine stationary with a flywheel tool or have a helper do this with a big (18")screwdriver jammed into the flywheel teeth near the starter or through the hole under the car. Alternately, you can block the breaker bar on with a piece of 2x4 and bump the starter (scary but works). The old crankshaft main seal will slide out with the balancer. remove oil pump cover and replace oring and seal.
If this sounds reasonable, give a sponsor like Sobstory a call and get all your parts and go at it. A shop might charge at least 4 hours for the whole works with typical double dipping on labor.
