Save our Saab!
I'm having a bit of a problem with my '87 900T... I think the clutch is fried, or something in it.. The car, when put into gear, does absolutely nothing. It sits, and makes a "grunt/grinding" noise, sorta on a timer.. Every half second or so this noise is made, and when RPM's are increased, this noise speeds up. When the clutch is pushed in though, this noise totally stops. Previous to this, the clutch engaged very close to the floorboards.
I have a few ideas about what might be wrong. One, the chain at the clutch is possibly broken, i hope this is what is wrong, but this doesn't explain some of the problems.. Second, the shaft from the clutch to the tranny, i believe something might also be wrong with it. When engaged into reverse, the noise gets worse.
Save our ship, err, saab. Thanks in advance, i hope it's not the tranny, that would make my day...
