As for the paint, It started as a general repaint, granted I'm changing the color from red to black. But after I got the trim and door panels off, I was suprized with a few rust spots. So in order to combat those I'm using the por 15 method. so far everything is straight forward. My neighbor has sprayed a base coat of por 15 then covered that with blackcote(from por 15) I'm in the process of wetsanding all that down, then he will apply a conventional base coat/clear coat for me. Until then I'm also airbrushing the engine bay and door jambs to match the black color. While I'm doing all that I'm changing some of my interior panels from tan to black. As you can guess I'm doing a lot to poor old inga, but I think she likes it. As for mechanical stuff, my major concern right now are the rear bushings which I'm going to try to get to next weekend in-between painting and wetsanding. Once I get the bushings in order and after the paint is done, I'll start some performance mods ( I can't wait). Nothing major just a stronger n/a motor is what I'm going for. As for the rack, I'm still filling it up every now and then. My father actually brought home a used rack from a friend who claims that it isn't leaking, don't know about that I may get inspired and install it as well as put in those fluids recommened to stop leaks. sorry that I'm long winded as well.
