.. she wants a good Swedish name, as opposed to an Italian one. She's not a feisty Ferrari, Fiat, or Lamborghini, and she doesn't want to be one. But if you continue to call her by an Italian name, she will continue to act like a feisty (though underpowered) Italian sports car.
May I suggest Inga, Johanna, Erika, Karin, Gertrud.....just to name a few. Even better would be a name with an umlaut.... I had a '78 99 named Jörgen, and he behaved well. I recommend some sort of renaming ceremony, perhaps in conjunction with a wash and wax and interior vaccuum. It couldn't hurt.
I bet it's part of the latching mechanism. Mine ('89 900S) rattles when I open it. I have to nudge it forward or backward a bit, then I'll hear it lock and the rattle goes away. Then again you said it wasn't a metal-like sound... maybe something funny with rubber seals now that it's getting into hotter summer weather. My Kajsa is squeaking more on these hot days.
