Since you just bought the car and not knowing how long the tranny fluid have been in there. First, you must change your transmission fluid. You also must use type "F" transmission fluid, if you don't your transmission will be gone in 6 months. After you have changed the fluid, add a can (8 oz) of "Automatic Transmission Conditioner" made by Justice Brothers. As much as I hate mechanic in the can, but this stuff really works. The important thing is, you must use type "F" transmission fluid, and don't let anyone tell you any different. I have an 84'900 Turbo and the tranny starting to slip when cold at about 87,000 miles and now the car has 187,000 and still on the same tranny. Adjustment can also be done to your tranny, but I advice you to let a Saab mechanic perform such task. Best of luck!
